Two Traincars
Synopsis
For a university trip, a professor and his 150 international students travel on the last two cars of a train. When they arrive, a most surprising welcome awaits them : the police, the media and a whole crowd so surprised to see them. Their train had finally arrived at its destination... but almost two years after it left. They immediately became public figures. Some people idolized them while others were afraid of them. Three years after their return, almost all of them had completed their studies and many had returned to their home countries. It was at this point that they began to have unusual experiences. Some heard voices, forgot moments of the day, others became super intelligent or gained new physical abilities. It varied from student to student. Everyone tried to live with it as best they could, without talking about it too much, because they didn't always remember it. For some, the new knowledge was good for them and improved their daily life. They took advantage of it, until the day when some of them started to die in an unexplained way...
Note of intent
« Two Cars » was originally a movie, but I developed it so much that I am convinced it would be better suited to be adapted into a miniseries, if not a medium series. The story takes place in our time. The suspense and the desire to discover the secret of this disappearance will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The audience will wonder throughout the story what really happened to these students. The chronology of the scenes will awaken mystical, divine and scientific clues, even though it is not the case. In order to discover the truth, which is logically simple, viewers will have to finish the series. The students will be seen as deities by some, monsters by others, or as part of a conspiracy by another part of the population upon their return. This will obviously cause divisions within the population.
Among these students, we have Dann. An overweight young man to whom life has never really smiled. He went from being a total loner to a "star" in the space of one trip. His popularity grew a lot and he didn't hesitate to abuse it. He created a blog on which he tells everything that happens to him and everything he remembers. He appeared on TV and earned a lot of money. One day, he falls out of the window of his hotel room located on the 28th floor of a luxury hotel. The surveillance videos show a suicide. After the strange deaths of several of these students around the world, Inspector Troy Papadis, working for Interpol, is assigned to the case. He died 23 days later, choking on a nut in the middle of a restaurant in front of more than 40 helpless people.
Other students lived peacefully and declared that they did not remember anything, thus ending the discussion. Among them was Fosh Winterney, a sports, yoga and video game fan who was the last person to be visited by Troy before his death at the restaurant. He became the only clue, as Troy seemed to have discovered something. So several agents were assigned to follow up in the greatest secrecy.
In terms of production, this miniseries requires actors of diverse backgrounds, as the school is international and its diversity is part of the plot. The episodes will feature action, combat, spy scenes requiring weapons, actors mastering combat techniques and computer equipment worthy of science fiction. The series will start two days before the trip, which will allow to introduce some key actors and to conclude the first episode by hooking the audience with the sudden reappearance of the train that the latter did not know was missing until now. The rest will be a succession of hypotheses that the viewer will ask and one of them could turn out to be true.
